On Thursday I went along with my bestest to a party in the Uniqlo Oxford Street store thrown by Stylist Magazine for the launch of the Laura Ashley range at Uniqlo. Gizzi Erskine played some great 1950s/60s records and there were tasty fruity cocktais in teapcups and cute little cakes from Lily Vanilli.
So, here is part 2 of my photography from Hyper Japan. This time focussing on all the wonderful fashion accessories as well as all the toys, collectibles, books and magazines I saw on my day out at the exhibition.
Where possible I have provided links to the products (just click on the pictures)
The jewellery and accessories were all so cute.
Other than fashion accessories there were plenty of other fun stalls selling all kinds of toys, collectables, books and magazines. Including lots of Totoros.
This weekend I went to Hyper Japan at Earl's Court. It is, as they say on their website, "the UK's biggest celebration of Japanese culture, Japanese cuisine, and Japanese cool".
I saw lots of fun and interesting people on the day. From those inspired by Lolita and Harajuku fashions to Cosplayers and keen fans of manga/anime to women in beautiful kimonos and traditional dress. The attention to detail and dedication some of them must have to their look was impressive.
